Why are you now called thepublic®?

We create communities – and have been doing so since 2005.
Our name reflects this now, too.
We will also come of age in 2023. We have been successful on the market for 18 years. It’s time for our own identity, our own name.

Why did you decide on an English name?

We do over 60% of our consulting business with international clients. Our new name positions us globally.

Why are you not called Panama PR anymore?

Panama is a great name for a creative agency: memorable, associative and defining. However, since the Panama Papers in 2016, this name has also become synonymous worldwide with tax evasion and dubious dealings instead of credibility and values.

With thepublic® we hit the mark much better in terms of what we understand by values communication and PR and what values we create for our clients.

Does the name change also indicate a separation from Panama Advertising Agency?

Yes and no. We are and will remain friends. We will certainly continue to recommend each other to clients. Both agencies have been legally independent since 2005. Having our own name and identity is important to us now, so that we can take off for the next few years.

What are your plans thepublic®?

Our consulting business is characterized by loyal existing customers and long-term mandates. Nevertheless, we have already changed completely in the last four years. With our new name thepublic®, we are now providing visibility and identity to this change. thepublic® is an agency with a unique culture of work and trust.

Our processes are digitized and we live 100% New Work: Everyone in thepublic® team freely determines their work location and working hours every day. We win big national and international clients and develop our service portfolio, starting from PR, in other areas. thepublic® will grow even more every day through creative challenges, good solutions and ideas.

What can your clients expect thepublic®?

We develop visibility, identity and credibility for brands, products and companies with good PR and through personal relationships. Clients will only trust their corporate and brand communication to an agency that has a strong and credible identity itself. .

The values of thepublic® are: Trust, openness, honesty, cohesion and reliability. Our charter of principles has been signed by all employees since 2012.
