Who said exchange programs are only for students?
thepublic® and Empower are both part of PR World Alliance and therefore have the unique opportunity to collaborate and share experiences and client know-how. But how do we achieve that?
The PR World Alliance Exchange program is designed to expand professional expertise and experiences of our member agencies and their employees by giving them an opportunity to work at another member agency for a period of time.
Recently, Iva from thepublic® took the chance and spent 10 days in Göteborg with the Empower team, along with another inspiring collective of Swedish agencies, based in the Thinc – The incredible collective headquarters, right in the heart of the city.
What are the most important lessons and key takeaways from your stay at Empower?
The team at Empower is #empowered! They are driven, motivated and excited about their projects. It was great to see that they have a similar work attitude as we do at thepublic. This shows that we are all like-minded agencies, connected through the PR World Alliance.
Would you recommend an agency exchange within the PR World Alliance group and why do you think it is important / valuable?
Yes, absolutely! As part of my stay with Empower at the Thinc hub, we discussed how valuable it would be to create a habit of regular exchange between the agencies, which can be in the form of quarterly meetings and video calls, where we discuss the strategic and tactical direction of both agencies, new clients and projects, as well as latest developments in our field, such as AI implementation and other tools.
What did you like most about Göteborg? What was your favorite attraction, highlight of the trip?
Göteborg was delightful! I did not have any expectations but I was pleasantly surprised that every day I could discover new things, new streets and neighbourhoods, nature spots, parks and dining areas. I am happy to have visited the Göteborg Archipelago which is a cluster of islands, reachable only by a ferry every few hours a day. The nature and serenity there were incredible. I hope to go back soon.
